Test & Validation Engineer

📍 UK (site-based with occasional travel)

Our client, an innovative engineering and technology organisation is seeking a Test & Validation Engineer to join its growing technical team.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on testing, fault finding and system validation, and wants to play a key role in ensuring high-performance electronic systems meet the highest quality standards.

The Role

You will be responsible for testing and validating complex electronic systems before delivery to customers. Working closely with engineering and production teams, you will identify faults, resolve issues and ensure products meet required performance and reliability standards.

You may also support system demonstrations and assist with technical queries from customers, with occasional travel to UK and international customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Test and validate electronic systems prior to customer delivery

• Perform fault finding and diagnostics at system and PCB level

• Record, report and help resolve technical issues identified during testing

• Carry out acceptance testing of completed systems

• Support technical demonstrations and customer support activities

• Produce technical reports detailing issues identified and resolved

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Experience testing and verifying electronic systems

• Hardware debugging and testing at component level

• Strong technical problem-solving and fault diagnosis skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Qualification in a relevant technical or engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)

Desirable

• Knowledge of optical or video systems

• Experience with video standards or imaging systems

• Exposure to C# software development

• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and reports
